July 16: Minor Warning
Just a warning for those fighting Goldfang Orcs...they will now properly hurt you when they die. The script has always been there, but it wasn't firing properly. I fixed it for the next reset.
Also, after the next planned reset a new posting will appear on the Local News board in the Sleeping Dragon...something about fighting against the orcs of K'Nort Scrar.

Re: July 16: Minor Warning
Question:
How exactly do these orcs go about "hurting" the enemy at the moment of their death? Im looking for the RP explanation in this case, so I can see how I feel about the mechanical expression of it.

Re: July 16: Minor Warning
Every Goldfang orc, upon surviving to maturity, has one or more of his fangs or tusks replaced with an enchanted one made of gold. Upon his death (even if it were somehow from old age), the tooth explodes in a ball of fire, which burns anyone that doesn't have one of those teeth in their own mouth.
OOC: on death, a 5d6 fireball with a reduced radius, Reflex DC: 15, should go off instantly.

Re: July 16: Minor Warning
I can't remember the title but doesn't one of the in-game Aenea "history" books mention the Goldfang Orc Tribe and their exploding tusks ?... I always thought it odd they never blew up... (I think the book might be the one about Filend*The kingdom of silver*).... ??

Re: July 16: Minor Warning
Well, if anybody cares, I have no issues with the mechanics.... seal of approval and all that
Although I believe Elhanan and myself slew a fair number of the buggers and I dont think we say any visuals for such an effect....

Re: July 16: Minor Warning
er, I ain't too sure if Crideas stood still long enough to take notice what he was blasting....
But when in solo form near Alatha, I did encounter a group of them, and they all detontated properly.
