Description of the RP Situation (the story): On several times and occasions, this character has put their Animator levels to use to actually roleplay improvements to golems and expressing an affinity with other things that would be in the same category: For instance, the character will take aside my character and examine a certain part of them--namely, the clockwork body part that the character has. They also act as the character's mechanic, occasionally using working 'improvements' to their physical form(Ironheart levels). This is not so much a 'story', so much as what the character does from day to day. The character also lets slip a few hints as to his background without unveiling all at once, while not being vague.
Why this character should win: This character displays RP that is good and innovative for both classes(cleric and animator), and does so in an original way that expands beyond the usual boundaries for roleplay of either class, without going ridiculously far.

Early in my pre-Epic life, Aargyle was walking to Tradeholm, and had entered the area I fondly call the Purple Worm Crossroads. I managed to kill a few bandits in the area, but the worm had already managed to get a few, too. Knowing better than to charge by this time, Aargyle pulled his longbow and emptied a couple of quivers of mundane arrows into the beast at range, and brought him down eventually.

And to my great surprise, a mage and a couple of bandits in heated pursuit burst upon the scene; swallowed victims! The mage FF helped me to vanquish the bandits, and thanked me for my 'daring' rescue. A short time later (ie; the next day or within the week), the mage encountered Aargyle, and insisted upon helping the Dwarf aquire iron from the Tesh mines. He stated that his god Prizimal wished balance, and this was his way to make that occur.

Top notch tale in which to say thanks!

Then today, Aargyle and Hurn were standing about in Calinthia, near the gem trader and library when a winged man with what appeared to be a familiar in tow came rushing by at great haste. All Aargyle could do was to say "Allo' before the man dashed off into the distance without any reply.

Just then I recieve a Tell from jo4n12 saying, "Seth is not friendly; I am. Hello!"

This is followed by, "C/E Demonspawn Cleric/ Sorcerer of Ragnar; if I stopped to say hello, I could not even play this character again! "

The laughter at my apt was sorely needed, and I passed it on to Hurn, and now to all of you.

I must add my voice to Elhanan's that jo4n12 is a wonderful RPer. Very consistent with his character concepts, and versatile in the types he plays... much moreso than myself

Agreed .. the few times I've met them they are an exceptional RP'er.. and very understanding that some of us just aren't that good at it.. they have a way to weave "normal" talk into the RP'ing that helps bring it out in the rest of us... It's all in the wording and they don't seem too bothered that the rest of us may just answer the in-game RP with flat-out non-RP talk... it gets caught up and answered in a good RP way that makes you feel like you could easily do some RP with them breaking you in soft and gently... ..

Kudos to Crideas, Ruby Wainright, the Beuttlerians Derik and Derfel, and Amaerillie in tonight's installment of the Talon Reborn Saga.

Dave did a great job of playing Crideas taking a fall for the team.

Ruby's player (who's player name I can't remember... Lauralie something) was excellent with the young, scared, yet gungho scout.

Amaerillie (played by erieegeek)... ah, what a gnome! Although not there for the stealthy mission part of the night, she was there and provided solid character interaction during the scouring of the swamp.

THe beuttlerians.... how can you not love a pair of crazies who someone thought was a good idea to give hellballs to?

Grats and Kudos to all who participated, and as a special mention, to Manny who actually had a few moments of RP where Angelica allowed her softer side to show itself (it still has fangs, but hey...)

Too bad Crid was out for 90% of it lol....

Oh, Derfel was so annoyed that he hadn't thought to try a dispel... Greater Restoration, Cure Critical Wounds, even Soothing Refrain....

But he did get to single-handedly eliminate all the Red Talon operatives who got in the way. Consolation prize.

Kudos to Amaerillie, Ruby, Karamip, and Leile for their refusale of Sorgath's offer after the invasion of Le'Hevan last night.

Kudos also to Derik, Bram, Desi, and Alundaio for their RP of accepting the offer.

Kudos to DM Mythgar for presenting the "Heroes" and "not quite heroes" with an interesting morale quandry with the appearance of the Avatar of Sorgath.

And big kudos to Aguri-something (sorry, I can't rememer HOW your name is spelled!), the lowly orc in the whole mess who was cracking me up with his comments and RPing a lowly orc not quite sure about fighting the "um, big things with pointy teeths!"

If I missed anyone, I do apologize, but do know that everyone there did a fine job of making a memorable encounter.

Description of the RP Situation (the story): The entire "Luminaria" quest as a paladin/cleric, straying from the "pure paladin path"... discussing the finer points of "protection and healing" to all those that fall "under her wings"... for seeking out and stopping at every (I believe) Dalix alter along the route to ask for "directions from the lady, in the true path ahead" ... clever and intuitive use of the paladin mount to launch a charge-attack on fort morths war riders... and describing in incremental steps an "orphaned" backstory as time together progressed ... and then discussion of the final conundrum of returning said artefact, or not, with solid in-game reasoning to go either way... a whole lot of rp, crammed into a rather short session...

Why this player should win something: A very good PC concept and story.. with an awesome PC appearance, almost pure rp throughout the adventure.. (and on numerous other times also, with other PC's)... a player that makes rp'ing easy for those of us not always pertained to rp... took most/all of my ooc comments and "weaved" them into in-char sentences and responses... had me doing some/better rp by the end of adventure... .... ...

Description of the RP Situation (the story): She was the first person Cherry met after I had created her. In character-wise; she's one of few which Cherry has warmed up to and truly trust. Not only because she saved Cherry's life in the past from ending as gnoll food, but also for being a good friend and traveling companion. The gloves which Adahi gave Cherry is a treasured part of her gear, which she wouldn't wish to trade or give away to anyone. Even though they only make her slightly more nimble-fingered and partly useless for an epic leveled character. I hope they meet again sometime and perhaps go spelunking!
Why this character should win: The RP between them has shaped Cherry's background and character, and I think it's well-deserved
