Trap Crafting

I have not been able to yet find an animal which will drop a HIDE for making into leather strings.
What particular critters should I be looking for?

OK now that I went to print, Wolves and their Dire brethren are dropping pelts.
Not sure how I missed this in the past.
I am on a pretty slow (read near dial up) connection, out on a boat off the North west coast of Australia, so that may have been it.
Still, difficult to miss. I have been looking for pelts for a while now.
