Aenea from school!

So apparently I can get on the forum from school!

I can access the forum from work. But... erm... I only do so on my lunch break. Yeah. Totally.

Also, if I buy myself an external hard drive, I could technically get in Aenea and play from school. But I don't think the study hall monitors would be pleased.

I've just been reading recently that if you get a big enough flash drive, you can install NWN on that and play from basically any computer right off the flash drive.

That sounds entirely epic.... I might just have to try such a thing.... not that I would slack off in class or at work or anything...

Oh, snap! Part of my job is ordering in supplies for our office. Including flash drives.

Dang frang no good rabble snazzle school filter. It now blocks Aenea. Do you have to download proxies?

Maybe that's why I can't get it to work at the local college either... I get internet access and I figured it was bandwidth issues with how many people are online simultaneously on a single network, but I didn't think of that.

Tor Project. It's a proxy program that uses dozens of nodes so that you can surf the web anonymously. It's kind of slow though. But it's litterally impossible to see what the user is doing when using Tor (If configured properly.) It will bypass anything. There are litterally thousands of nodes that it uses so that it is also impossible for the net filter to block all the nodes. Which you can easily use a new node by the press of a button in the program, if need be.

There is a small version that fits on a floppy or flash drive that you can just use right off of the disk. It's called the Tor Browser.

The downsides really are just speed and the inability to use Flash, Java and ActiveX.

I can use the general internet there, just not a game is all. And I'd think that a game like NWN wouldn't be one they'd know enough about to block....

Either way, I don't stick around long enough to really play anyway. Just about 40 mins between class and when my ride gets there.

I wasn't talking about the game, just the forums. And can the school tell if I'm using a proxie like Tor?
