Used: Ooops, my little buddie died...

Just tonight, Dara-erez took her little copper down to a deep dark place that got him killed. When all was safe, she used a Rod of Rezzing on him and brought him back to life. The issue - he was no longer in the party, so could not be unsummoned, nor was there a way to initiate conversation - just stood there. Any chance we could get a tool/command/convo option to force the little ones to reenter party, so they don't get left behind?

The thought of him being in that deep dark place all alone ... not pleasant.

Or, if not that, would there be any way to "take" the corpse? Put it into inventory so the body isn't just laying around somewhere? Or a command to "destroy" or "return" the corpse?

The dragon companions were designed to be a "once per reset" aid... I think on death they should not leave a corpse at all, but instead should do that little flying away animation, with a little message saying something like "I'm going to dragon haven to rest for a while", perhaps coupled with the "slayed" animation... ...

I agree that they should not leave a corpse - this was the temptation to use the Rezzin Rod on it, and as a result not be able to interact with it further.

It's a shame, though - I think it would be sweet to be able to resurrect the little thing, especially if you have the necessary magic at your disposal. Dara-erez doesn't travel with henchmen, nor does she party up very often, so her Rez Rods are just sitting in her pack. Maybe Sal will give a good price for them...

Let me ask this - will that little corpse be cleaned up by the area cleaner scripts? That might not be so bad. Or if there was a way to target the corpse and invoke the cleaner scripts. Or have an item or a function, like RustyDios said, that allows the dragon to go to it's own little Great Hall until the next reset.

I would dig all of these, or any of these. I just don't fancy the thought of leaving the corpse of my little guy down in the dark.

Well Shouri's died recently in the beholder tunnels, I did the same thing and tried to rezzi him... and you know what.. not even the beholder rays scratched him and stood still, motionless he killed a whole spawn of 8 of em... so fear not, your little zombie buddy will be safe !!... !!

After the rez, did you try sending him away via VC and then resummoning him?

Yup, no response. And we were below ground, so he should've at least said "I cannot fly right now," or something along those lines. He just stood there, no response, no reply.

Not trying to harp on it, but I really think it would be good to be able to rez the little ones.

Interestingly enough... Amaerille was able to recover from this situation with a casting of Dominate Monster on poor little Gorticus.

And that put Gorticus back in the party? Commandable and everything? Hmmmm, might have to give that a try ... anyone know where such scrolls are sold?
