This is a neat cloak, easily buyable if you know where to look...

Anyhow, how about making it craftable with the use of Displacer Beast hides?

It is already craftable...

.... The most likely "problem" for a crafter is the Prizimal deity requirement...

In that case (I didn't even know that was there, I guess I always overlooked it due to the deity restriction)

lemme change the thread title and change the cloak suggestion... still think the displacer beast hide needs to be used in something else though....

Yes, other than that. That cloak is near useless if it wasn't modified.

If it did what the displacer beasts actually do (a permanant undispellable 50% displacelent) then it would be entirely worth it, but the having to reactivate it every 9 rounds kills the appeal... and the easy dispelling and it being subject to the Anti-Magic just sinks it for good...

Permanant 50% concelament would apply to those beams as well, which would be pretty epic and would make it my first or second choice against them, depending on the character and whatnot...

Heck, I'd even settle for something like 35%. Permanant concealment is good!

I'd suggest ye be making a Shadowchild then... *I think* the concealment they get is permanent.. (Bar switching it off yeself via VC command, fariefire and glitterdust)... to be honest it's been ages since I took Jay out for a spin in them thar tunnels, I think the 20% concealment he gets is non-dispelable.... and the other way I can think of is the Self Concealment line of feats, upto 50%... but the pre-req's are "a bit steep"..

And why just Celia's Cloak ?... Why not just a normal (50 charge 1ch/use on donning) Invis Cloak ?... er... If the Invis cloaks still work like that ?...

Because this one is Invis(3) 5 uses a day +AC.

It's a little more permanant and was the first thing I could come up with that fit the description bar the original idea that could already be made.

The cloak of celia ghostwalker is a unique item with a little bit of history written into the description, so you can't enchant one. It's different than a cloak of displacement or cloak of sharlo's shadow.

Pretty much the only permanent form of concealment in Aenea comes from being a shadow child (subrace). Other than that, concealment is such a powerful ability that there aren't items or spells that grant it permanently (although you could take the epic "self concealment" feats if you have the right class combinations, which are permanent).

Ok... well is there something else that can be made with this silly hide? Cause that cloak is pretty useless to most I'd think... far from worth the trouble to make one...

Maybe we can improve the cloak of displacement.. to give a scripted , say, 10% *permanent concealment* whilst donned ?... Or how about a HiPS bonus feat, with a +30/50 Hide skill ... this would make it useful for creeping around, but the second combat broke out the cloak would be swinging-and-swaying too much to give ye any benefit and you'd need to "take a break from fighting to wrap up again".....

I'd say even just a flat 5% would be cool. Add a few crystals and it's not a half bad cloak.

I'd steer away from HiPS... too overpowered of an ability

I never really have problems using the current cloak of displacement. By the time it wears off most everything around me is dead anyway.
