Not Used: Limbo
I had this idea a bit back but kept forgettin to post it....currently when your kicked from limbo after a bad dial out on the dhd you wait and when you zone back your at the sleeping dragon inn. Why not have it kick you back out at the entrance where you went in?
It would make more sense i think.....your caught in a mystic loop inside the gates transit system then finally your dumped out whereever you went in at in front of the gate then you see the active spinning gate shut behind you.

Re: Not Used: Limbo
I would prefer to do away with limbo. Incorrect codes, or purposefully entering a random sequence should result in a random destination, a la Farstep Potion. Random sequences would also have the small chance of actually resulting in a valid, specific destination. How cool would it be to 'stumble' upon a portal code?

True ... but limbo is an awesome place in itself ... perhaps make it a destination where one wants to go ... all sorts of quest ideas open up...

In its current form, I would somewhat strongly disagree that it is awesome. Its a tinly little 1x1 area with no features, spawns, placeables, etc...except for the blasted portal that can take up to 5 minutes to appear.
Could you make it bigger and add stuff to it? Sure. Down the road I would love to see something like that. Right now, I think other areas could use attention as higher priority, and the portals would - in my opinion - be much cooler if they had random destinations rather than limbo.

Re: Not Used: Limbo
Man, I feel like Snoopy on his doghouse after a go-round with the Red Baron - *makes sputtering plane sound effects as imagines plane going down* Those are, of course, excellent points, Mr. Yeisley. Limbo as it stands currently is nothing at all, except for a pretty skybox - I have some fond memories of it, and that's why I say "Nay, it must stay!" I would love to see it retooled and recycled into something greater along the way. And it's true, that it wouldn't be a priority, as compared to the sparky spawner and the tweaking of the dark realm, but I'd hate to see it go with the bathwater. I believe that an opposite realm (opposite to the dark realm, that is) was suggested in another post - could limbo not serve that function?daveyeisley wrote:In its current form, I would somewhat strongly disagree that it is awesome. Re: Not Used: Limbo
I second Dave's idea. I hate limbo right now. First time I was there i became impatient and used Keys of Lysis to escape haha.

Lock and move?
The portal out of limbo now dumps you in random places
