This is for anyone who wishes to update the build module without downloading a new copy (saves time on exporting/importing your voucher items out of the old version into the new module).

Open your build module in the toolset. Go to the file bar, and click on "edit", and in the drop down menu that appears, click "Module Properties".

That will bring up a new window. Click on the "Custom Content" tab. You will see a list of the haks attached to the build module, as well as the tlk file attached. The tlk file will always be "aenea", so you leave that be.

For the list of haks, make sure that all the ones you need are listed. Right below the list of haks is a drop down menu. When you click on it, it will list all the haks installed in your nwn/hak directory. Click on one, and then hit the "Add" button to add that hak to the list the module uses. After you've added a specific hak file, highlight it, and use the "move up" or "move down" buttons to move the hak into the correct place on the list. Load order of haks is important.

Now... The current list of haks as they should appear in the list, current as of 12 October, 2010:

aeneahak_updates
aeneahak_r
aeneahak_s
aeneahak_t
aeneahak_u
aeneahak_v
aeneahak_w
aeneahak_x
aeneahak_y
aeneahak_z
cep2_top_v23
cep2_add_phenos5
cep2_add_phenos4
cep2_add_phenos3
cep2_add_phenos2
cep2_add_phenos1
cep2_add_tiles2
cep2_add_tiles1
cep2_add_doors
cep2_add_skies
cep2_add_loads
cep2_core6
cep2_core5
cep2_core4
cep2_core3
cep2_core2
cep2_core1
cep2_core0
cep2_crp

Note, there is also the cep2_custom hak, which is used for the "dragon fix". I do not have that one attached to my module currently, but I do believe that it goes below the "aeneahak_updates" hak in the list.

After you've confirmed you have all the correct haks added and in order, hit the "OK" button. If after hitting OK a window pops up with a lengthy bit of information, asking you if you wish to continue, click "Yes". That will happen when you change the hak list, either adding haks to the list, or changing the order. Let the toolset do it's thing, and then save. You should then have all the current content showing in the toolset, new staves, new creatures, ect, ect.

This list will be updated as needed.

Public Service Announcment for The Build Module

If anyone has downloaded the build module and found you cannot open it due to a missing aenea_temp.hak file, here is how you do a quick and dirty fix until the build module download is updated:

In your root NWN folder, there is a subfolder called "Utilities".  In that is a file called "nwhak.exe".  This program is used for creating hak files.  click on it to start the program.

One it opens up, add a resource(some sort of file).  I suggest a blank txt file.

Save the hak with the exact name of the missing hak from the build module.  Make sure that this new hak you created is in the hak folder in your NWN directory (on vista, win7 and I think win8, *sometimes* the hak program will save the hak not to your nwn install directory, but sometimes buried into a copy of the directory in your window user's folder in one of the hidden folders.

NOW.... load up your build module.  It will open with the hak you created in place.

Optional additional steps if you do not wish your hard disk to be cluttered up with essentially useless files:

Follow the instructions in the above post to get to the attached hak's list.  Ignore the list of haks posted above though... I am not 100% certain which haks are supposed to be attached now (specifically, I do not know which CEP2.6 haks Aenea does or does not use, if any extra haks have been added to CEP2.6).

REMOVE the temp hak from the list and then build/save the module.  You can now delete the temp hak from your hak folder in your NWN directory.

AFter removing the temp hak from the attached haks list, the build module will still open up.  You will not be missing any resources by it NOT being in the list (as the actual temp hak had CEP2.6 resources in it, which are now added through CEP2.6 itself, and the file you created had nothing in it other than that blank text file.
