Mountain...holm...hold?

He offers to buy food from the character for 2 gp a pop. Unfortunately, if you agree, he takes all the food out of your inventory.

Easy workaround as stands - place food you want to keep in food pouch and drop on ground before talking to 'em.

Might work better as a store. Current method is faster, but may want to insert "OOC comment" suggesting the dropping before hand.

Then used. Smile Adding a little bit to his conversation to warn players OOC that he want to take -all- of their food.
