Aenea Addition? (Enemies Killed Book)
Kill Count Book
Some crazy person with 5 minutes of spare time this morning came up with this thing where a PC can carry around a book that he or she records the name of every enemy creature killed in battle, plus the number of those foes killed.
Should I add this to Aenea? Would it get much use here? Whaddya think about it?
The scripting really only fires at two times:
a) when a PC that has the book kills a creature
b) when a PC uses the book's special power to update the description

I can see this as perhaps having some benefit for Masters of the Menagerie.

Re: Aenea Addition? (Enemies Killed Book)
I'm adding it into the game module today then.
Once the book is in the game, you'll be able to purchase one in the "paper and ink" shop in the Trade District of Macedone.
The book records kills made only when it is in your inventory, so none of your previous millions of slain enemies will show there (the data is stored on the book itself rather than on your character or an external database).
I'm also limiting the "update" function (using the book's special power) to 5 uses per day, since it can be a very resource-intensive script, running a loop for every different enemy that you've killed. I expect some folk's books to be a very long read in a short amount of time.

Re: Aenea Addition? (Enemies Killed Book)
DM thought: Perhaps some arch enemies will also have such a journal, for when they might appear/reappear now and again?
I recall a certain "hard to kill for eternity" ruler that must have a lot of time on his hands between reincarnations, an Ancient Red that needs to have something of note in that apparently empty rear storeroom, or even a meglo-maniacal Drow that could have a visitors log....
