Naming a new PC

I fouled up when creating my human F/C (very weak Cleric) "Julia Fisher". I neglected to select the proper skills and feats and accepted the default. I'd like to delete Julia and make a new PC "Julie Fisher". Is this so close to the original name that it would cause problems? If so, I'll just keep her. No one will ever catch the reference anyway. hehe. Thanks for considering a silly request.

That new character name should work out just fine.
The problems with new characters with similar names to existing ones comes in when you try to make them different with extra spaces, punctuation, or odd characters in the name, or if a different letter is used and it's way at the end where it won't get recorded in the first 15 letters of the filename.

I've had no trouble with spaces in the name. " Angelica" (with spaces) has had no problems, even with her previous version being "Angelica" with no spaces

It should be possible to name her "Julia Fisher", instead of "Julia Fisher" then, right? That would be awesome.

If you made that all in the 'first name' slot, or added an extra space somewhere in, yes.
