Partially Used: Familiars & Magehound ?

As per the title, how viable would it be to add a wiz/sorc's Familiar to the list of allies to be used with Summon Ally / Magehound spells .... maybe the Ranger/Druids Animal Companion too... but my initial idea would be just Familiars, because of that "special bond" .... ... at the moment if you select a familiar and try to set it is an ally it brings back the feedback message " No Valid PC selected" ....


The reason is to try and make those mouse/ cat options a little more enjoyable ... eg: room full of difficult monsters, weak little wizard hiding out in a "safe area"... sends their little stealthy mouse familiar (via possession) through the room of deadly difficult monsters, the monsters pay no attention to the little mouse as it scurries across the floor (it's hiding so well, they don't see it).... the mouse sends an empathic link (erm, possession) to it's master that it has found another "safe area" ..... the master uses their magic and innate connection/bond with the familiar to appear by it's side (magehounded) ..... ...
