Not Used: Animal Empathy
So...I was thinking about the strict epic Druid tonight, and their various abilities. It seems logical that an epic Druid (MAYBE Ranger) should be able to use "Animal Empathy" on elementals as well as animals. After all a Heirophant druid can become an elemental, why not command one.
As i have previously stated I am not a NWN scripter, but as I understand it an epic feat of this kind shouldn't be that hard to implement.
Any thoughts?

Re: Not Used: Animal Empathy
Makes sense to me. Just make it level-related -- perhaps at level 26 when the druid gets unlimited elemental form?
I wouldn't include rangers in this, tbh, because druids and wildshape make sense to me, whereas rangers have no such affinity...

Re: Not Used: Animal Empathy
But Rangers have Favored Enemies; foes so well studied that they are granted extra bonuses when encountering them. Given that this study could entail personal experiences, I could see Elementals falling into their smaller scope of observation.

Re: Not Used: Animal Empathy
Intense study of an enemy, and having a magical affinity to take the shape of a creature arent quite on the same level, methinks.

Agreed with Dave: Favored enemies isn't about empathy, it's about killing, harming, maiming, slicing, poking, injuring, etc. Pretty much everything *except* being empathic or empathetic to the creatures involved.

Re: Not Used: Animal Empathy
Interesting idea, but can't be done. Animal Empathy appears to be a skill that is hard-coded into the game (I can't find any scripting references in the toolset, online, or in the various 2da files).
