Not Used: Harvesting
For ease of use, and also to save a quickslot.... can the OnUse script for the various "harvestable materials" be set up to check for the harvesting tool in the player's inventory? Like how the rest script checks for a bedroll.
Would make things much simpler/easier for players and save a quickslot (which are at a premium).

I like this idea.
Make the various food things have inventories again.
Put the script into it's onopened event. Script checks if the PC has the tool, and then checks if the plant has been harvested recently already. If tool is there, and the plant has not been harvested, food contents spawn into the placable's inventory.
The tool itself can have it's unique power removed, and since it's on-use script would be redundant with the opening event of the placables.
And, a side suggestion, not directly related to the harvesting tool, but harvesting in general....
Blackberry bushes. There's 2 places in all of Aenea that I've ever foudn these. The one place is that group in the northwest road, and then there's 1 bush in Fort Morth.
AFAIK, blackberries are not sold in any shop, so it makes doing the food quest very annoying since only 1 PC per reset can realistically harvest the blackberries needed. More places around the general vicinity of the Vale with the berries, or having them in shops would rock.

I must say, I haven't really ever utilized the harvesting system ... it's a cool option, but I really do like dave and manny's ideas ...
