I like it, I like it! Particularly the curb-side one ...

I've always felt that in a pseudo-medieval city, there would be debris and stink of some kind ... after all, when we have no indoor plumbing, where does the yuck go?

And here I was thinking that this was mild compared to what I added to the Macedone sewers.

It is comparatively mild, sure.... but the sewers addition was really somewhat over-the-top in its own way

hehe...I wish I could avoid diaper duty. It's been ongoing for almost 8 years now with only a few months break between 100% "done with diapers/pullups" status for one kid before having another one (or two). I am way beyond being ready to give up that particular task.

It's not inspiration for anything, let me tell you. The sewers inspiration came from boredom with the cleanliness of Macedone's sewers (who's ever heard of a clean sewer system?) and memory of a PnP adventure that took place there...in PnP, all the sewage ended up going to the Pit, where two very hungry otyughs lived and spent their days getting rid of said nastiness...until the PCs went down there for something unrelated and ended up killing off the otyughs...which meant that several months later the entire system was overflowing back up into the city proper (nobody had needed to bother checking on things before)...the PCs ended up hated by the entire city once some simple scrying magic was used to figure out who was responsible.

The inspiration for the street trash is in this month's theme for the custom content challenge over at the bioware forums ("poor folk stuff"). Even a wealthy city like Macedone is going to have areas that aren't regularly cleaned (areas where the wealthy wouldn't go or see anyway).

I think I'm getting better at this whole "take existing models and put them together" thing.

I dunno , are you sure some of the TRex from DW Isle didn't hop a freight train to town?
