Whathappened???

Just saw this today (Sherlock, I ain't), and had to wonder what occured on this day:

Most users ever online was 31 on Mon Mar 29, 2010 4:57 am

Pls tell me Crideas did NOT cast any AoE spells for fun!

I have no idea what was going on that day. But that is a lot of people visiting the forum at once.

I tried browsing the Forums to see what was occuring at that time, and the best guess is that a Lich related investigation was occuring around that time. But I thought this was related to actually folks present In Game; not on the Forum, so no real answer is fine....

Aenea has an in-game limit of 20 people at any one time... ie Players on-line xx/20 ... so anything above that number would be for the forums.... what that many people were doing on the forum however is a very good question ...


And the most people I've seen on-line in game was around 15, during 's DM events surrounding both the fall of Talon and then his attempted resurrection/raising/dracolichdom with a certain half-fiend vampire child ... ... ...

I think it may have even been as high as 17.. but as yet I don't think the server has broken the 20 mark ... .... ...

As far as visitors on the forums, I personally have noted that whenever the server crashes or is inaccessible for long periods of time, the visitors here tend to pile up ... also the only time I've ever seen the sandbox used, or have used it personally!

Sigh... I hadnt been on Crideas in a while, and I was a little rusty and had forgotten about the lag monster as a result... (it happens when you get involved in other PCs for months and then go on hiatus for more months and don't end up keeping your AoE blasting skills sharp)... still, my apologies for the oversight....

For what its worth, it was very nice to come back to blasting orcs to ash in the Tesh portal room.... it was like a form of homecoming

Now if we can just get Meteor Swarm to maximize properly with the Staff of Fulfillment like it used to work, then it would be Glorious.

As for the users online... I remember that... the forum was bot-central. You'll see that every now and then when you click the "who's online" link... you'll see bots from google or such. They scan over websites so when you enter something into google or yahoo's search... stuff actually shows up.

I was not even thinking about that recent Orc wasting homecoming; was remembering the multiple DM warnings of lag from the Undead Wars, and seeing the server crash more recently from my own low lvl spell use on a triple-spawned team of bandits (remembering that has since fixed said spell to be more Server friendly).

Crideas derserves to see lag occasionally; like watching a cannon that sits on the field of battle, and gets to fire now and again to remain in good condition.
