Help! My skin is burning! (sunlight survival information)

Sunlight.  The bane of any Shadow Child, Drow, or Vampire.

There are ways to avoid this tortuous orb of searing light that hovers over the lands.  You can buy yourself an umbrella (which helps a bit), get lucky and find a cloak of shadows, or take the simplest route and find shelter from the sun.

The easiest way to find shelter from the sun is by turning on the "detection" option in-game.  How does one do such a thing?

The VC command ;;option sunshelter to the rescue!  Just enter it into the chat bar.  Sun sensitive subraces have the ability to sense nearby shelter from their nemesis.  With this option turned on, they are given a text notification (in the combat info window) that shelter is nearby, and the entrance is briefly highlighted by a visual effect that only they can see.

And for those of the arcane bent, the spell "Darkness" provides cover from sunlight as well... the drow subrace casting is a piddly 3 rounds, but that's enough time to fire off a darkness, and then select a TP mark and zap away to safe darkness.
