Quarterstaffs
My first question for the forum:)
I like playing monks and usually unarmed.
I always saw a monk as a quarterstaff wielder but NWN doesnt allow this.
With all the amazing changes I have found in my short life here and having seen the walking stick now in action what is the likelihood of a quarterstaff being alloowable to work with a monk?
The monk using a quarterstaff in the same way they can use 2 kamas
Would be cool. Even as a specific item working with my monk
Just a thought !!

Re: Quarterstaffs
The issue with monk weapons as they are in the D&D sense, as I've learned from various PWs, is that Kamas are hardcoded into the game as the only weapon that can be used the same way as a monk's unarmed attacks.
While theoretically you can add new models to kamas to make them appear to be other weapons (currently, Aenea has War Fans and Katars), they still functionally will have to be similar to kamas. So while a club might be possible (a slashy one, at that), a two-handed weapon isn't really possible, aside from amazing coding magic.

Re: Quarterstaffs
You *could* add a staff model ala the fan models to the kama appearances.
The issue would actually be that they'd still use the kama animations, not the animations for staffs (2-handed weapons)... and it looks incredibly silly.
