priscilla's?

i was over in priscilla's clerical shop [macedone]. as far as i could understand what she wanted me to do, in order for me to open a shop, all i had to do was stand inside the diagram for my deity. i did that, and nothing happened. am i doing this right?

In that type of shoppe, it's likely that your character needs to be a cleric to be able to purchase ... or at least be disguised as a cleric.

Hm. I haven't used that type of shoppe because my character hasn't found a cleric disguise yet, so I can't offer any more advice until I find that and try it.

Can you click on the display case in front of you? Run your mouse around and see if there's anything selectable in that area. And make sure you've talked to the merchant directly before you go to your deity's sign case. And it of course has to be the deity which you selected at character creation.

If none of what I've suggested above works, then we need someone else with more experience to answer this question. When others get back to Aenea after holidays, bump this thread again. Or maybe you should repost this in the Bug subforum, as it might definitely be a bug. might see it more readily there.

I havge been to the shop in question, but standing on the proper seal has always been good enough to open the store. But I cannot recall ever actually purchasing anything; sorry.

Be certain to select the proper symbol, as some may look alike, or may be confused with another.

yes, i talk to the merchant, she says [in broken common] sth like, 'go to the symbol of your deity, that'll open the store'. i move into the symbol using the mouse [not the keyboard] to move. moving my mouse over the counter does nothing ; it appears like a static placeable to me. i move my character in and out of her deity's symbol. i move her back and forth. i make her dance a jig. no joy.

oh, mystara's symbol is pretty uniquivocal.
