Trace of the Bloodline (DM Event, 27th June 2012)

So here are the screenshots from the latest DM event into the dark realm.
This event focused on the continuing story of Lord Veleron and how to break his powers and bring about his eventual doom.
I'm no good at storytelling so I'll leave that to someone else but I can provide soom screenies with minor captions that should give those that were unfortunately unable to attend a basic overview of the evening...

I'll be adding some of my own once I get some time to glance through all them and work a bit of magic on them in PS to make them...well 'more magical'!

- The screenshot you added as 'regroup in astral conjuration', was taken before the quest started...I can tell, since Anna is in the group shot, as much she wanted to join in the quest, she drew a shorter straw than Celestin which "won the rights to kick some demon arse!"

Good point well noted... but I'm not going to change it, as it does fit with the order of events.. ...
I did however add Anna to the list of participants so she doesn't feel too let down

Wow, nice!
I am amazed you managed to catch that orbital strike on the Beholder Elder. That was pretty much the only one I cast the whole event... quick reflexes

OOC: *Edit* Done uploading my pictures, also wrote a small resume of the event.
So the journey started out with the heroes gathering in the Sleeping Dragon Inn, and after an introduction of all met, Nethos, the previous owner, told them about the information the Archmage Crideas had found out about--that is; a crystal located in the Dark Realm's depths which gives Veleron his powers of immortality. After a brief strategy meeting, they set out on the adventure, walking to the shrine to Mystara behind the large portal gate and into the depths of the demonic realm through the portal unlocked by a certain powerful ring...
After roaming about, searching the place out, they finds the path to the Citadel of Night and prepares for the battle against the many, many demons standing in their way!
And now, after Veleron unleashed his demonic Lag Monster, the heroes meets up inside the Castle of Night. Now joined by several other allies! Master Crideas arriving fashionably late (as all arch wizards do!) ...with spell buffs to the entire party.
And so the battle continued inside the Castle of Night's long, long hallways. . .
*Does anyone actually remember the exact message? I kinda forgot to take a copy of my log that night.
After the battle in the Dark Realm and the collection of the ruby shard, the heroes gathered together to solve the cryptic message which the Archmage Crideas had divined*; after a brief talk, they agreed it should be taken to the Calithian Desert and had 3 places in mind. 1) The Ruby Ward in Calithia, 2) the Great Ruby Road, & 3) The Tomb located in the part of the desert known as the Searing Sands. (Ruling out the third option, they was with the remaining two to check out)
The Heroes teleported to the small Oasis known as Calith's Well as starting point, arriving shortly before dawn (much to the dismay of the two shadow children of the party ), and the two mages (Crideas and Amaerille?) teleported to the depth of the Tomb to check it out to see if that was the spot, after finding out it wasn't the right place, they return to the rest of the party at the Oasis and they all follow the road leading west toward the Great Ruby Road where the finds a large ritual circle.
Sir Ray, which has been carrying the ruby shard, has gotten a bit of knowledge of it and knew how to assemble it and so they did...
OOC: Please correct me if I recalled any of the events wrong...

I was kinda waiting for it...
... when I saw the beholders appear I knew it wouldn't be long before Crideas unleashed "magical hell" on them, for all his trials and tribulations with demons I know its the anti-magic gasbags that still really rile him up !!And great pics everyone else !!
