Should I be hoarding Mithral for some later purpose, or dispose of it for cash?

I don't know about hoarding mithral...

But...
The metal bars are used in a certain quest, and also as material component for mithral items via the craft armor and weapon skill. Smile

If you want to preserve you gold in other ways than storing them in Arkon's bank, I would suggest using valuable gems instead of mithral bars, but it's entirely up to you. If your character value precious metal bars more than gems, go with it! Smile
