Greyskull Boss?

I finished what I *believe* is the entirety of this area and came to a room where I sense great evil behind.

That doesn't sound like the boss room that I know, unless it's been recently changed.

the boss room is a tiny room towards the middle top of rooms of golems and through a central room of beholders, and contains no placeables, nothing at all except a lich. And an exit from the castle.
So, I don't recall a sarcophagus. At least not in the boss area.

Just to toss it into the ring, if Player B killed the boss, then Player A may not see him at all in the same reset. Of couse, this needs to be confirmed, but something like this has happened to me at other locations.

But have you ever seen a sarcophagus anywhere in the castle, Elhanan?
I certainly don't remember it on the boss level, although I can't recall if there might be an empty sarcophagus somewhere else.

There is an empty sarcophagus in Greyskull Castle on the upper floor, I think it was in one of the "hidden" rooms. This is the mid-boss fight. It will drop an extraordinary shield and a key to the lower levels (which are described above)... there should be a strong-ish enemy in here... it is possible it either a) didn't spawn or b) had been recently killed.....
Try coming back another day.

- I see the locked door in question which requires a plot key. The room with the oversize sarcophagus doesn't seem to be in a hidden room, I don't see blackened area of the map large enough for a secret room (I'll double check next time).

Just went there to confirm this, it seems that the new sarcophagus model which has been placed there broke the spawn of the mini-boss encounter. The sarcophagus can no longer be opened when clicked, and when it's destroyed (by targeting it with a spell) it doesn't spawn the bad guy. Sounds like bug report time to me!

- Currently, only those which has a teleport location saved at the dungeon above that level can fight Greyskull. JT, if you run into any of my wizardly characters in-game, they wouldn't mind given you a lift and/or provide defensive aid in the form of spells should you want to fight Greyskull.
