Can they appear only when Sharlo is full? Or will Naka do, too?

Re: More Werewolf Questions
Werewolves prowl the forests whenever one or both of the moons of Aenea are full.

Re: More Werewolf Questions
Another from me: Is it a soft stat bonus, a polymorph (sets as x str/dex/con regardless), or a scripted boost like barb rage?

Re: More Werewolf Questions
Full moon, Silverleaf Forest like the tavern says, 3 areas with pauses to respawn monsters:
3 ogres, 1 troll, 8 cindertooth mice, 1 dire wolf, 5 wolves.
Maybe the tavern notice is horribly wrong?
Done this about 4 full moons now. Zero werewolves.

Yeah, I'm going to say it: I think the notice in the Sleeping Dragon Inn is wrong.

Sorry I only tried to help.Raising_Cain wrote:That's lovely, Angel of Death, but unhelpful...
The picture is also a hint toward where werewolves can be found.
Hint: It's not that far from the Vale and it's an area PCs travel through a lot.
Anyway. ADsaid to me that the chance to werewolves was low. Maybe you have just been unlucky? I know from experience aplenty that when you actively go out and -want- to find something; the chances to find what you're looking for gets surprisingly smaller. Once in a blue moon you're allowed to be lucky though!
Next time I get the chance to login, I'll do a search for werewolves in the Silverleaf forest. The more eyes out looking, the bigger the chance to spot them after all.

Re: More Werewolf Questions
The question itself was about if the spawn was close to the hint given in the tavern (it is not). I know they spawn elsewhere, but the tavern's hint should probably be changed to reflect this, since it's very confusing and frustrating to be led on by vague hints that should have been documented in the game, then being told that I'm not connecting the bread crumbs.

Re: More Werewolf Questions
To answer the question about stats.... it's a polymorph, so really the werewolf semiclass is only useful for lowbies. For mid to high level characters, it's RP fluff only, as the stats will actually typically nerf the hell out of your character, particularly since that particular polymorph shape does not merge any items either.

I feel your frustration and for me it came from game design experiences/expectations as a player in non-PW settings. Aenea is so expansive that its ratio of "connective tissue" vs. systems/features/worldsize can be intimidating and frustrating for a new player.
The learning curve is steep but well worth the climb...
