Magic Bug: Spell Opportunist/AoE's destroying other AoE's

Casting an AoE damager such as burning hands apparently destroys other AoE's such as Grease and Cloud of Bewilderment as if they were placeables.

The combat log reports it as a placable named "." and has less than 9 HP (as a single casting of burning hands destroyed both the above mentioned AoE's with 9 or less fire damage.

When I discovered this bug, my new sorceress did not have the spell opportunist feat. I suspected it was linked to that however.

Upon levelling up, I took that particular feat.

It doesn't work.

First tried it out on a couple of umberhulks. Cast grease, then followed up with fireballs and burning hands. I tried both casting the spells right on the umbers as well as next to them, not targeting them directly. Nada. The damagers only did damage to the umbers, and the grease "placeable".

I then went to the OOC Spell testing area, tried it out there as well. Same results.

There is no opportunists damage from the grease/fireball or grease/burning hands combo. And the damagers 'destroyed' the grease effect. This pretty much negatively impacts both casters who do and those who do not choose to take that feat. Those that do, waste a feat. Those that don't, lose the ability to keep the enemies at bay while they bring out the damage spells as the damgers remove the disablers.

I hadn't been able to get around yet to trying out my wizard's Spell Opportunist feat, but I wanted to see about this bug so I checked Burning Hands over Grease.

It's as Manny says, and I can't see any per-round damages.
