Out of the Oven...

After living in the dessicated oven that is the Phoenix metro-stuccot area for nearly 16 years (and more than ready to leave for more than 10 of those years), myself and my family will finally be moving back to the midwest. Purchase of a Wisconsin house will be final/closed June 1st. Our current house will go on the market within a few days.

This means that, since Aenea exists on a computer in one of my closets, it will be going on hiatus near the end of May, packed into a truck with a bunch of other stuff, and shipped across the country. I don't have a date of return yet, since I don't know when the new house's cable (and internet) will be hooked up and activated.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up in case they go to log in (late May - early June) and can't connect. Also, it's why I've been even more absent lately.

Good luck on the trek, though I still contend that the desert environs are among the most beautmous of all. And here is hoping that the new homestead has a decent connection; not the case in some locales.

Yes, yes, I hope that everything goes well for the Dragon household! We'll be patient, as we know always delivers, and Aenea will return to us safe and sound!

Good luck in the house move. It is a busy and chaotic time. Here's to hoping that the World of Aenea also arrives at it's new destination in one piece, I hope there is a back up just in case....

What I know of Wisconsin: Happy Days, Green Bay Packers, Picket Fences, and Gen-Con are all based there.

Stay frosty (should save a little on cooling fans now), and enjoy the cheese!

Sadly, Gen-Con is scheduled to stay in Indianapolis until 2020. I used to go to it when I still lived in Wisconsin and it was still in Milwaukee.

Packers are a big deal to lots of people that live there. It's the only publicly owned NFL team (and NFL rules forbid any more teams from being publicly owned), and tens of thousands of people are on wait lists for season tickets. The things get passed down to children when people die.  I'm not a football fan myself, but I appreciate how unique the team and its fans are.

Lots of corn fields, yes. And other crops. And dairy cows. And yes, cheese.

And seasons. Four of them!

Yes, the new house will be home. I'll be happily investing in bug spray (for summer) and warmer clothes (for fall, winter, and early spring...late spring is shorts weather in Wisconsin).

I know you've got a lot on your dragon plate, Dragon, but this is something I've been wondering for some time. Do you plan on continuing with Aenea, both hosting it and building it?

Congrats . I hope the sales of house, migration, and move-in all go as smoothly as possible. Looking forward to stories, and the return of our beloved Aenea.

Finally got our current house on the market. Then it sat on the market for a whole 24 weeks days hours, but it sold. Now we've got two weeks left to pack everything up before a truck shows up to haul everything halfway across the country.
