I canna haz Aenea. :(

Hey, anybody tried to log in and get any errors?  I keep getting a missing necessary resources error - it says i don't have 4 haks that i very much so do.  redownloaded them, and still the same.  wondering if anyone else is seeing this?

The exact message goes like this -

I redownloaded the haks, on the off chance that something was corrupted. I don't wanna do a fresh install. Helps!

I just logged in no problem.  Haven't touched my nwn folder in many many moons...

You know what I will suggest first....

Them overrides, check 'em!

Specifically, if you use a patch hak override, do away with it for Aenea.  There's a number of advantages to patch-haks, but it also has a downside, especially when you try to load a module that already has a massive number of haks already attached.  Aenea is one such module (CEP, PQ and the Aenea haks....)

If you aren't sure if you're using a patch hak, navigate to your root nwn directory (where nwn.exe is located) and look for a file called "nwnpatch.ini".  Open it up and see what's listed in there.  If you do have stuff there, just rename the file when you want to play Aenea (add an X to the end, whatever suits you).

Now... if that's not the issue, check your regular ol' override folder.  And of course, make sure you actually have those mentioned haks in the hak folder.

If those aren't the issue... um... not sure.

So, here's how this shakes out ... I don't have an active override folder anymore, that's clearly not the issue. The reason I don't have an override folder is because I went to patch haks. I renamed my nwnpatch.ini file and was able to log in, no problem. Upon opening said .ini file, I discovered that there were a bunch of things in there that I don't really remember being in there. So i eliminated them, saved the changed .ini file, and was able to log in, no problems at all! Best of all, I can still use my patch haks, too!
