Miinstrel / Sevenar
Preferred Play Style:
I enjoy RP or hack and slash... depends who i'm with
Class(es):
Wizard
Favored Weapons/Spells:
Whatever makes my opponent die
Description:
While a generally pleasant companion and conversationalist, there is an edge to Sevenar that you can't quite put a finger on. His height seems to have had no effect on his undaunted personality. There is a lust in his eye for power that seems to lie right on the line between ambition and obsession. His robe is black with red and gold accents.
Background:
I was raised by a cleric of Asis who took me in when he saw
me roaming the streets as an urchin. Frequently he chastised me for sneaking a
coin from the donation tray, but learning to fend for yourself isn't forgotten just because you have a roof over your head. It was always too quiet
in the temple and life was more fun on the outside when you had a bit of coin
in your pocket. After a number of years he took notice of my penchant for the
arcane and sent me to be trained by a kindly old wizard by the name of Kerth. This new location was
fascinating! There was an infinite supply of mistakes to be made and trouble to
get into, and he never reprimanded me; he only asked that I remember what I had
done and learn from it. The one thing he enforced was a strict policy against
the darker arts...
While he was away one evening, I slipped into the back room
looking for a spell to transform the lizard I had captured into a baby dragon (oh the folly of youth...). While
digging through his artifacts and book shelves, I discovered a black leather
book with no title and what appeared to be a bone of some sort for a spine. It
called to me and the moment I touched it, a surge of power filled my body. It
was exhilarating! Inside I found a knowledge far darker and more ancient than
anything Kerth had shown me. I read one of the spells, not quite comprehending the
language I was speaking. A hole seemed to appear in front of me and smoke
swirled out of it. From within stepped a demon which instilled me with a fear
and awe unlike anything I have since experienced. Somehow, I managed to flee
from the library as it chased after me. Lysis was with me that evening, for as I burst out the front door my mentor was tying up his horse. The demon burst through the door ripping it off it's hinges and Kerth turned to face it as I hid behind a rock. The power Kerth harnessed was incredible.
During the long and arduous fight, I tried to find a banishing spell in the
dark book that had remained frozen in my hand. I found one that seemed similar to what I was looking for and began weaving the spell. As I finished casting it, Kerth turned to me with a look of sorrow in his eyes. A great beam of light shot down from the storm that was now swirling overhead and engulfed both the demon and my teacher. It was so bright I had to shield my eyes. When I looked again, there was no more fighting. Only two bodies were left limp on the ground.
The cantrips I had been casting now seemed so trivial. Why bother
with creating light when I can cause fire to rain from the sky and rend a soul
from its body? A deep, insatiable greed for power filled me that day and it
answers to no one.
Goals:
Ultimate intellectual power. What need do I have for anything else?
Favorite Thing About Aenea:
The people that play here are extremely friendly.
How You Heard About Aenea:
The PW Action channel. I liked the sound of the name and decided to check it out. Glad I did so far
