How to take and use a screenshot of your Character...
1. Get logged into Aenea.
2. Get to a nice place in the game where the scenery will compliment your character's
appearance.
3. Get your outfit all squared away, I recommend removing your helm.
4. Rotate the camera to a good angle, and then adjust the pitch to the proper
level using the "Page Up/Page Down" keys.
5. Press the "H" key to hide the interface.
6. Press the "Print Screen" key.
7. Log out, and close NWN.
8. Assuming you use Windows, go to "Start>Programs>Accessories>Paint". Otherwise load
up your favorite graphic editor.
9. Make a New file, then go to "Edit>Paste" to paste in the screen capture.
10. Edit the photo as you see fit, and save it to your hard drive in a place you will be
able to find it. Note: In order to make an avatar out of the file, it must be no more
than 100pixels by 100pixels.
11. Email it to AD with the proper info, listed here, or go to your profile link on these forums and select the "Avatar" tab, then upload your file.

Re: How to take and use a screenshot of your Character...
Thanks for the information. Here's a couple more tips to go along with your's...
I would recommend starting Paint (or your graphic program of choice) before NWN. This way it can be running in the background, which may save some time later.
Instead of logging out in step #7, switch to Paint via Alt+Tab or other method, with NWN still running in the background. I've noticed over a couple of years of taking screenshots that sometimes the image will not be complete, instead snapped with the screen partially rendered between frames. If you leave the game running, you can check out your screenshot, and jump back for another if things don't look right.
The 100x100 pixel image is for avatars for this forum (which you can upload directly when editing your profile). For the Player Character section of the web site, I prefer larger (at least 800x600), so that I can properly crop and resize things.
Another way to see things is to check your NWN game directory. The screenshots are automatically stored there as .tga files. Not all graphics programs can read these files (most decent ones can, but I'm not sure about Paint).
