Oxen inventory Empty Oxen inventory

Is there a time limit to the persistence of oxen and their inventories? It had been pointed out that if I logged out and back in to see if it fixed a quest bug, the ox and my stuff should still be there. But the night before last, when I logged out for the night and then logged back in yesterday eve, the ox and a vast array of my stuff was gone. Sad Byebye Blood of Magic stone, byebye Ankheg Chitin hoard, byebye items for that quest, byebye the magic items Helga had just spent most of her gp getting identified... *sigh* Did I do something wrong, or is it a bug?

The oxen are not persistent through server resets.

For persistent item storage, you'll need to purchase an Ethereal Chest from Arkon the Wolf.

Just logging out and back, your ox will remain. If the server is reset (or someone kills your ox and loots it), it will be gone.

The server hadn't reset, I don't think? I seem to recall when I logged back in I was in the Sleeping Dragon, not the OOC area. Oh well. Time to build my hoard back up again. Sad
