Used: Changing item descriptions

So ... has there been any word as to when there will be an option to
change the description of an item? That would go along great with the
new crafting system. I know it was discussed awhile ago, but I don't
remember when and cannot find the thread it was in.

If it's not still on the table, I'd like to bring it back! Any chance we'll get to see it?

Yea i too would like to do this...i could make unique stuff with iggy and introduce it into the game and such...rp and so on. Im not sure how hard this would be to do though....changing an item name usually involves just changing its tag.

Changing the actual description would require opening the erf file of the item in question...and having a script alter the numeric code(the description) and then resaving it...and im not sure how one would implement that.

Acutally, it's easier than that. I just need to adapt the code I already have in that lets you change your own description/bio so that it will affect an item (with a slightly different VC command).

After the next planned reset:

pc tool itemdesc xxxxxx - change description of the Selected item in your inventory to whatever your replace xxxxxx with
