Re: Sacrifice question
No need to identify everything on remains before sacrificing. You do have to do it with items in inventory though.
Re: Sacrifice question
The mass sacrifice function dosnt frequently have any effect whatsoever, on Piety, XP or gold... is that as intended or a bug?

Re: Sacrifice question
You sure? My drow had nearly no piety, and after a few days of BoM hunting, using mass sacrifice to dispose of the remains, I noticed she was up to 1000+ piety

Re: Sacrifice question
Considering that I've been doing the same thing for the past few hours, and noticed a gain of a whopping 40 points in piety... either I'm doing something wrong... or it's broken... Or it's working and the increase is almost nil..
Any of those three I don't like
And it;s not like I've been sacrificing things that are worth 200gp each corpse... we're talking more around 2500+ gp value on average, often more than that. Making the average body count about 6, there isn't a shortage of gold/value on the bodies... Unless the formula is higher for the mass sacrifice function that on a single body?

Re: Sacrifice question
I raise you a Mass Sacrifice and zero piety, xp, or gold. Typhis must see Narcelia as a terrible priest.

Re: Sacrifice question
The value of the remains sacrificed may play a role. Aurora was sacrificine mummylord remains, which tend to have very wealthy loot.

Re: Sacrifice question
*The Dwarf winces at the previous tales of sacrificed profits*
Lysis would not have seen fit to bless us with good hauls if we were only to sacrifice it all.
heh - Aarg does sacrifice some gp, as well as mundane items and the occasional copper bauble, and he is sitting well above 1000 Piety. I do not think that huge valued sacrifices are required. I mean, who wants a diety to take bribes? Besides the Evil ones, that is....

Re: Sacrifice question
Sacrificing items from inventory = a chance for xp, gold, or perhaps even a minor healing potion.
Sacrificing enemy remains = a chance for xp or piety gain. The amount of gain is based on both the value of the items on the remains and the hit dice of the creature sacrificed compared to your own level. Getting xp or piety is not assured with each sacrifice. Each sacrificial flame use gives one chance at a reward for sacrificing....so a mass sacrifice (which can save time and possibly give a larger reward) is still just one "roll of the dice".
