Could quaking chorus be made party-friendly like the other bard songs? None of the other attack-songs damage allies at all, from curse song to the aenea customs (the fire song, ice song, anti-magic song and sleep song). Only QC blasts anybody and everybody regardless.

I've always thought of bards as a class that are pretty much party-oriented. Bardsong works on allies, healing song works on allies, bards are your local magic IDer, the fence with high appraisal to get you better prices with merchants, ect. But Quaking chorus is strictly a solo ability. Anybody who gets within 30 feet of Alastair when he sings that one is taking 64 to 94 damage per round, which really sucks for that person if they're not in the 30th to 40th range themselves, and even then they're gonna need decent discipline and HP to not get royally screwed. Don't get me wrong, the song rocks in every meaning of the word. It would just be so much more desirable, a definite "must have" for group-oriented play like soothing refrain is, if allies didn't get shafted. Going to hunt giants? Grab a bard, he'll knock 'em down, the allies move and and chop them up.

Another suggestion... A way to cancel bard song.

Once you start singing, you're locked into that song for it's duration, which is a fault with the default NWN default bard song system. It just doesn't quite make sense that a bard can't stop singing if he choses to. If it were possible to cancel a song being sung, it wouldn't be unbalancing either. The song use will still have been expended, the effects of the song would still end.

And it would also make lasting inspiration a viable feat (currently, with lasting inspiration, when you sing a song, you're absolutely stuck with it for 6 to 10 real time minutes depending on if you have the other bard-song extending feat... at 21st level, that would be 3 and a half hours of play before a bard would use up all uses of bard song, singing each one back to back. No other ability or spell has that sheer level of duration/usability other than shifter forms, which can be toggled on and off). With yet still the extra music feat, that adds in another 18 to 30 minutes real time duration.
