Used: Swimming, Jumping, Climbing
I notice that these skills are affected by the weight you carry, but not the strength of the carrier.
For example if you but a pack of bricks on a 5-year olds back and the same on Arnold Scwarzenegger, would they be hampered the same???
basically my barbarian orc (STR 35) can't complete some quests becaused of the weight he carries. Not sure this is fair?

I *believe* (not 100% positive), that your STR modifier is added as a bonus to your Swim, Jump, and Climb checks.... so it offsets the penalty for the weight you carry.
Also remember that your armor and shield apply a penalty as well. You may need to stow them before attempting these checks to make sure you get full benefit of your strength (but you probably already knew that).

Re: Used: Swimming, Jumping, Climbing
I think what MM is asking is if weight gets considered in one's total carrying capacity (the pack of bricks example).
I haven't tested it out really, but from just casual observation, it does seem that 100lbs hampers the high strength character just as much as the low strength character, despite the fact the high strength character could carrying three times the amount and still be able to run.

Re: Used: Swimming, Jumping, Climbing
As usual Manny is right! Ghashgul can carry in the region of 1200 lbs and is currently carrying about 500, as a result cannot swim jump or climb anywhere. Someone with a carrying capacity of 100 carrying 50 would not have the same penalties.

Re: Used: Swimming, Jumping, Climbing
Modified the scripts to take better account of each PC's strength and dexterity (and maybe constitution?) for these skills.
