How do I get points in swimming/jumping? Do not see them as skill options when leveling up.

I believe AD took them out of the levelup interface as it was causing some problems with 2da slots and the actual skill checks in the game engine... or something.

I believe you automatically recieve points in those skills each level based on your class.

LOL

I love it...

Of course, my favorite... was when I decided *not* to go back up and rest so that I could rememorize a couple transferences to get me across the lava to fight the Red Dragon and back again...

So, I tried to jump it...

And remember, this is when I had first come to Aenea, had only interacted with Amethyst once before, and didn't yet know about his twisted sense of humor Razz

So I outright guffawed and belly laughed when I saw that I was -

"Dying in Liquid Hot Magma"

LOL.

I was laughing so hard, I missed the message about it being a bad idea to try and resurrect myself... lost a token, died again Razz

Ah yes... jumping across lava on a mad mad whirlwind tour of Aenea with Cridias and Alastair.. I remember trying that.. and failing and coming back with a token and dying again.. and coming back the long way to be summoned back to them to fail a thrid time.. the very same day Gron Bloodsplatterer High Lord Orc Demi-god of Sorgath (whatever his name is) followed us to the Great Hall of Zolaras.. And Jay has been quite afraid of death since, and jumping, and balancing and his swimmings not to good either.. .. .. haha

There are several background-coded skills in Aenea (including the more physical swim/climb/jump/balance). You get ranks in these automatically as you level up, and there are several items that give you bonuses to these when worn (such as the ever-popular boots of striding and springing).

Nobody ever said it was smart to try to jump over lava.

And here's a warning...I plan on adding a few spots with acid you don't want to jump into, since it'll have the same results as falling in Liquid Hot Magma.

Good old Amethyst ... always cooking up new ways to cook up his players! Never encountered the lava myself, but I'll add it to Sta'stillen and Jane's bucket list. Wink
