The Learning Continues Empty The Learning Continues

Post by The Amethyst Dragon Thu Feb 12, 2009 2:13 am

So, I just figured out how to move around individual model vertices in gmax. So this now means I can take an existing model and play around a bit. I've also got linking various parts of models. I'm also playing with brand new models in the software.

So what do you get out of this? Teaser screenshots. Smile

The antennae and straw hat are original models.

The hood...I extracted the CEP "hood" helmet, created a new texture file, removed the "blank face", tested as a VFX, pulled back the front edges to make the face more visible, then removed the "floppiness" because it looked dumb running, then tested again....looks good on the default head, but those with hair that sticks up are going to have some serious clipping going on.

Now, if everyone just started with a head that had no hair...

New custom content is always a winner, particularly when The Amethyst Dragon is at the wheel! Woohoo! Bring on the bugmen!

Well done The Amethyst Dragon... Looks good. Does this mean a custom hood will have a face on it?

I think that's what he's getting at, Grey_Stooge! And, I wonder, what other slices of deliciousness The Amethyst Dragon has in store, now that he's cracking open gmax? Whatever it is, it can only be good! Very Happy
