Not Used: Appearance change request

Call me vain....but ive never cared for the blue squarish tower shield model used for that spell resistance shield sold on the gnome guy in macedone. If its not to big of a request...could maybe we use this one? looks more interesting imho

I second Kefrem's suggestion, and take it even further. Why not have a whole bunch of shields to pick from? Variety is the very spice of life, after all ...

I'll third it, but with these points in mind...

I can't currently see any way in-game to craft/change the appearance of shields in the same ways that we cn with weapons/armours/ourselves... maybe that issue needs to be addressed... I've brought/found many items in my Aaenean career and often change what they look like to suit me (normally rename them too now)

I believe that the blue squarish one fits for that particular shield... it is suppose to be (in my mind) a "suspended arcane spell", weaving and arcane runes etc, but the white shield does look better, it looks "shieldy" and the way the red glyph moves in game is cool too...

Aenea has some great uses of custom weapons and armours, I feel we are letting the shield guys down a little with variations in overtly magical shield stuff....

If ye want that design of shield in particular, and ye want it badly, you can always go the route of custom item token..... .... ....

yea...the thing is..to get cep stuff on the built in crafting system...i believe would have to edit the 2da's for all the items, and coming from a guy here that has edited 2da's.

Yes but nae.... even the "normal" shield can't be crafted into new appearances... maybe my craft armour is just too low ... and hell oh boy.. I hate those damn 2da's too....

On an interesting note...i went to the gnome that used to sell them...and he dont sell them anymore

A number of shops have changed their inventories. Several now some items which are always in stock + a selection of random stuff. Sometimes those shops have mundane stuff not worth noting, a few hours later you go back and find a real prize of a find.

Not using this particular suggestion, but more shields of different types and looks are always a possibility for later additions.
