Not Used: Book Suggestions

I've heard of the books that mimic the ones found in PnP (increase stat+1).

However I'm being told that there seems to be only certain numbers for these books...

I have a genious idea involving these books!
Have +1 +2 and +3 versions of the books. Players can use any of the books, but if they already used +1 they only get an additional +1 when using +2 and +2 when using +3 and similar formula for using the +3 books.

This means the maximum you can increase your stat is +3, but it also means that even if you used an weaker lower level version of the book, if you ever need or get to use a higher version you will still gain a stat increase, it will simply be a maximum of what normally would be done. As such the maximum of book bonus could be +3 and the minimum +1.

This would be far better than the current system which tends to be different and only offer one type of bonus at a time with a different range. Increasing this range beyond +3 would make it an item beyond epic level range so I suggest not to do such a thing.

The books already work like this And the range is +5, although so far I've only heard of 1 player finding a +3. Everyone else seems to be finding only +1's or +2's.

Since these are already in, going to send this thread on it's way to Lockyville.

The upper level books (+4, +5) are extremely rare, but they do exist. As do the +3s.
