Nonstandard Character Portraits.

When interacting w/ some characters, I noticed that their portraits seemed to be a default nondescript one included in the base NWN game.

But when I saw an in-game pic posted on the forum here, I saw one such character actually had a (nice!) portrait that wasn't showing up in-game for me.

Is there additional content (nonstandard) portrait packs that I need to download to see their chosen pictures?

Plus, I know other players might be using other portraits that I have not yet collected (although I have started work on a second portrait pack, so if you've got one you want others to see, feel free to point me in the right direction for downloading it).

A couple of the portraits I use are from portrait packs I downloaded years ago while playing homegrown solo modules. I have no idea where to find them anymore, but I could send a zip file to AD.

I was thinking about posting a similar topic just where people can say where they got their portrait. Several people show up with the base portrait mentioned above.

Alternatively, people could ad a link in their signature line here to the host of their portrait. I'd like to collect everyone's portrait just so that I see the right picture when I interact with people.

Would you know NWN folder the downloads should be placed in? I tried several myself, but only the override folder had any results. It actually replaced (instead of added) 3 portraits.

There is a portraits folder for the portrait files.... I didnt know about it either...

there should be a portraits folder, but for some reason when I recently installed the game there wasn't. If you don't have a portraits folder simply create one in the NWN folder with everything else. That is what I did and it worked perfectly.

One thing worth mentioning...some portrait packs I've downloaded unzipped into folders of their own. When I placed these folders within the portraits folder the portraits did not show up in the character creation area. I had to place the portraits themselves directly into the portraits folder.

Yeah, I had no portraits folder inside my NWN installation. That's good to know.
