SFS Warrior
This is a concept I have an idea for. A SoulFireStarter Warrior of SFS Warrior for short.
The prereqs are:
Firestarter
Concentration 8 ranks*
Discipline 8 ranks
Conflagral as patron deity
Soulfire Warrior
Base Attack Bonus: +7
Weapon Focus (longsword)
Armor Proficiency (medium)
Concentration 10 or more ranks*
Craft Weapon 5 or more ranks
* denotes ones that combime to make one requirement
I understand that having 3 classes is a must for this type of character. So what would be the best "first" class to take. I am thinking fighter, but also believe Barbarian might be good as well. So any suggestions will be welcome.

Whatever you do, you'll want an Int of at least 12, for bonus skill points. Being human would help as well.

Re: SFS Warrior
You know me I don't do sub-races! lol ok, I need a int of 12 and possibly some str and dex i guess those will be my main three.
Also I believe rage would be nice with it.

Re: SFS Warrior
Sorry for the double post, but will the resistances stack? or will the better one be taken? because this might have to change the build a little.

Re: SFS Warrior
Int of 10 might be able to do it if human, and you actually want Con over Dex, depending on what type of armor the SF counts as.

Re: SFS Warrior
Me personally .... I'd go for a human rogue (possible wolfblood if you want sub-race)... the human gets a bonus feat at level 1 (perfect for weapon focus:longsword).. the rogue's skill points will help you get the Conc, Disp and Craft req's (with the bonus of also being able to take UMD, and have SA's)...
Of course an elf would work too.. (they are proficient with longswords, so your first feat could be weapon focus too... and you'll beneifit from constant detect mode)... a ranger would get bonus spells, keep your BAB high, have an animal comp(possibly) and limited spells.. but also be easy to get ITWF (Rgr lv9), focusing your points for int 13 nd high str and feats exclusively on longsword you could go the route of dual-wielding your soulfire blade and a "custom" firestarter blade, both dev-criting war machines...
Or you could... I could go on with a whole list of bonuses/benifits/drawbacks on a first class for this type of build... but I actually rather like the idea above... (and if you don't go that route, I might with my next PC ) .... and I'm running out of time on my lunch break to add any more ideas ...

Re: SFS Warrior
I'd go with a warrior class first myself, since the Soulfire Warrior conjures a longsword and medium armor. Put points into Constitution, since that's what Firestarter DCs and amount of Inner Fire are based on. With a +1 BAB right at 1st level, you can use a starting feat for Weapon Focus (Longsword).
Fighter will lead to more combat feats (including Weapon Specialization). Ranger could mean some stealth and dual wielding goodness with a light weapon in the off hand. Barbarian means more hitpoints and the ability to temporarily boots Con (and the DCs for saves against Firestarter abilities). Paladin...ok, paladin wouldn't really contribute much to a build combining Soulfire Warrior and Firestarter.

Re: SFS Warrior
I would say to go barbarian, since this would give you the best bang for your Constitutional buck (been contemplating a similar build myself), the only problem being that both of the above classes have a concentration pre-req, which is cross-class for them. The 4 skill points per level they get do help to off-set that drawback, but it's up to you whether or not it's worth it (though a fiery terrifying rage does sound pretty cool).

Re: SFS Warrior

Re: SFS Warrior
Paladin could add divine might/shield, though those are powered by charisma, and the character already has a pretty wide stat spread to cover... And then there's the fact that Paladins are dalix followers, and firestarter's are Conflagral followers

Re: SFS Warrior
you can add +2 to each stat via books, +3 to str and con easily (relativelly)
how much powergamey do you want to be? (you start with even stats in both str and con, don't know where you will put points in at lvl ups. how many 'great "whatever" feats' will you be abe to take?)
to me starting-stats are meaningless without the complete build in mind. and you are asking for help on building and planning for that character, so no "i'll decide while i play" excuse

Re: SFS Warrior
Not with the skill requirement to take the classes...it's raw ranks, not total bonus.
