Just like water, only not near as fun to drink...
Hi, all!
I was wondering - I know that we've got quite a few awesome modellers/builders and folks with great custom content knowledge in these parts, and I was wondering if y'all could possibly solve my conundrum...
In a post on teh Dark Realms, Dave articulated this problem rather well:
My idea/question is this: I am thinking about the water tile placeable, how it's big and flat and covers a lot of area - could this basic principle be used for a corpse pile placeable? Instead of the surface looking like water, have it be an image of a bunch of corpses? maybe even tweak it a little so it has some height to it, so it looks like a pile, and not a flat image?
Is such a thing possible? Has anyone seen anything like this anywhere, like on the Vault? My modelling skills are crap, as are my math skills (hence my heavy reliance on LilacSoul's Script Generator), but if such a thing is possible, I'd be willing to try and do it ...
Anybody have any ideas? Please?

Sadly, I need to do the same thing, have a place with lots and lots of corpses piled up, but as dave mentioned, the sheer amount of placeables in this area makes the module bog down ridiculously, and then you add to it other effects in the area - well, it's a mod killer.daveyeisley wrote:... my original idea was a structure of
flesh/bodies/viscera that the PC goes thru... but realistically, I have
no way to express that in the toolset that I can think of, without a
gabillion placeables....

Retexturing a copy of the water tile placeable would work (Or any other large flat placable... there's a number of them in the CEP. Raise it's vertical position up to .5, 1.0, or even 1.5... that should place it at about knee height for humans, waist deep for halflings. For a "non flat" effect, place a few corpse placeables around, also raised up vertically, that should simulate piles that build up higher than the general level of gore and blood.

Not sure what you mean by this.Eric of Atrophy wrote:any way to skewer the walkmesh so it can't be trod upon?
Do you want to block PCs from walking through the gore? If that's what you want, the CEP has an "invisible wall" placeable that does just that...plop it down to block PCs from walking there...you just have to remember to turn the animations off in the toolset (or maybe it's "on") so that it changes from visible to invisible.
Re: Just like water, only not near as fun to drink...
After browsing through the new placables in the CEP2.3 update... there's lots of new floor coverings... bones, bodies, blood. they're all a flat surfaces, but if you want a "knee deep pool of blood or bones", they should do nicely.

Oooh, that's right, I forgot about the new CEP ... thanks for that heads up, manny (or should I say, heads off? You know ... talk about corpses ... and blood and all that ... sorta thought it fit ... Hell, it worked for the Cryptkeeper, so I figured I'd give it a shot...)

Also, I found some placables with the same texture as the bone-floor covering... mounds. The appearance is "Bone: Rubble 04(FKY), and others around that same part of the list. Many possibilities
