heh, why's everybody seem to got a thing about vista and their games not liking each other?

With every new version of Windows, it makes it more difficult to keep older games (and other software) running correctly for some people's computers.

I know I've had issues with some software not working correctly on my Vista laptop that worked fine on my XP desktop.

My laptop is 100% XP! None of that Vista nonsense!

I had to disable opening splashscreens and video for NWN to run without crashing. I also had to play around w/ in-game video settings (especially the aliasing setting).

But other than that, it runs great on my Vista laptop.

I dunno.... I've just never had a problem with Vista except for running Homeworld2 (homeworld 1 ran fine). I've barely even needed to monkey around with any settings either. The only time I've had to change how a program starts up is NWN with the 1.69 beta patches and the 1.69 final... other than that, and rayman (had to slow it down, was playing super-turbo fast )
