Just one question; does the ceilings interfere with the top-down view?

Forge looks very nice with the enclosed ceilings as well
I think my favorite is one of the cauldron shots though (fourth one down in the above pics). The shot doesn't get the atmosphere of the animations and all though. There's steam and all, looks very warm and bake you alive-ish in there :-D

Re: Enclosed Caves (The latest Hak update goody)
Since the ceilings got added to the caves, I've taken the liberty of redesigning much of the Underdark to use the caves tileset...it just feels more "underground" to me than the old "Underdark" tileset.
Also, a pleasant surprise on my part. I tend to wander areas without the minimap showing, and the enclosed caves often have me slightly disoriented. This is nice for me, as it feels more like an underground area with tunnels that look different coming from different directions, rather than an "open top rat maze" that makes it more of a video game and less a D&D game.
I might have to do some modeling practice to see about "enclosing" some of the other interior areas. I didn't do the model work for the caves myself, just adapted the ones made by Hellfire to work with the lava and pit terrains. I think the crypts and ruins tilesets need the most attention.
I know that there are other "enclosed" tileset modifications out there, but many just mirror the bottom sections, making it look like a video game out of the late 80s.

I gotta agree with ya, ceilings are the way to go, especially for the underground areas!
