Used: Dispel my own spells

Would be cool if there was a way for me to start a dialogue that allowed me to
see what temporary buff spell durations I have active (that *I* cast on myself) and be able to
end each individual spell if I choose.

info selfbuffs - see which duration spells you've cast on yourself and are able to dispel
pc tool dispel x - replace x with the spell ID from previous command to end the effects of that spell (should work on most self-cast spells...might not with path of fog or water breathing).

Ok, just tested these, and both commands work properly.

With info selfbuffs, you may find that some of the spells are listed more than once. This comes from spells that have more than one scripted effect. Many buffing spells (such as eagle's splendor or virtue) have a "hidden" visual effect that only shows when the spell duration ends...this is still a scripted effect that is on your character. I don't plan on changing the script to detect+count+remove the multiple listings, since that would complicate the script a lot just for simpler reading of a list you probably won't be doing in the heat of battle (or often).

Edit: And yes, I do sometimes go way back in the suggestions list and pull things in, so don't get discouraged if your particular suggestion isn't addressed within days (or weeks, or months...).

pc tool dispel xx does definitely work with the spells i have tried

mayhaps we can get it listed an an info command on the help feedback, and then... locky locky?

EDIT: *sniff* doesnt work for Tenser's transformation no spell ID comes up in the list.... would love it if its possible to fix that....

The Barrier of Flame effect is also not dispellable via this menu, though I guess that's not one that matters whether or not you remove it...

Barrier of Flame? This one doesn't sound familiar to me.

It's the Firestarterability. Apparantly it can be dispelled (but not breached) so I figured it might show up on the list.

Ah, I see. Since it's an ability and not really a spell, I didn't include it.

Is that ability meant to be able to be dispelled at all?

It's supposed to be elemental fire...not technically magic. If it's dispellable, that's kind of an error.

Yeah.... I could see anti-magic supressing it, cuz it is supernatural at the least... but a dispel, not so much.

Ah, but I left tenser's transformation off the list...since it makes you into a powerhouse attacker without the ability to focus enough to cast spells, I figure it also means you can't focus enough to unmake spells.

I will continue to beg, plead, and beseech you for this boon.

I don't fault your reasoning, as it makes some sense to a degree, but the practical effect of not having the spell on the list is being forced to:

a) wait for the spell to expire (not fun at all, and frustrating), which really sucks if you cast an extended version and finished the battle much quicker than expected.

b) find a place to rest and end up cancelling all active spells, thereby creating the need to rebuff, costing more time

c) drink a renewal potion, costing gold, cancelling all buffs, and creating the need to rebuff

I don't think of the caster ending the duration of their own spells as actual 'spellcasting'. To me its much simpler and faster, near automatic... and I can definitely see this being done while unable to actually cast new spells (especially if the spell being ended is the one that was preventing the caster from using new spells).

Please reconsider...

I gotta say, , although I don't use a true spellcaster PC, I can see the logic of dave's argument, in particular the cancellation of the spell. I know my two cents doesn't carry much weight in these matters, but I say add the spell. At the very least, give it a probationary period, then enlist public feedback - I remember a time when Sorgath's temple was a variable-limited entry place. But pleading from a certain someone, and you reconsidered - with no ill effects.
