Arkon's Storage: Reason for gold/XP storage? Empty Arkon's Storage: Reason for gold/XP storage?

Looking at the services Arkon offers god me thinking.
 
Why would you want to store gold in his care if he takes 5% deposit fee?
 
Also, any reason to store XP other than retirement?  Why would you want to store XP?
 
Some answers would be useful.

One reason to stone gold is because when you die, you lose 10% of your gold on hand.

As for XP storage, you could store it to avoid leveling, but otherwise I'm unaware of any particular benefit...

I dont use the gold storage myself. You only lose 10% if you walk to the dais in the Great Hall. I prefer to use gift of zolaras tokens, which do not require the dais. They refund 75% of lost XP and they allow you to keep all your gold. If you happen to die a bunch and run out of tokens, well... then you have a problem.

As for Xp storage, I believe the main use is to be able to avoid levelling so that you can stay close to another character's level so you dont go way past them, and can party up together without you having to not play until they log on.

Doesn't death also incur an xp penalty if you walk the dias ?... Storing your xp avoids it's loss is the same manner as gold.... The best use I know of is to keep it so that you spawn the same group of enemies (such as at lv 16 you will spawn only one beholder(easy kill), but at level 17 your will spawn one beholder mage(easier kill), then at lv18 you will get two beholders(getting harder).. ),, erm so yeah to forestall gaining a level, without you loosing the xp to gain said level if you should die.. ... .

The XP Debt applies when you get in. That would only prevent the gold loss...
