Text-file friendly VC Command List(s) ...
------>As of 01-07-2018, I haven't done anything to this list in almost 5 years! Wowza! So it seems, especially with the impending release of EE, that I may come back and start tinkering to see what is coolio and what is not coolio.<------
Hey, y'all! Just finished typing this up for my own use, and figured i'd share it! It is a work in progress, but as it stands it is largely complete. Of course, your input is very valuable and often actionable. Please post any ideas or directions you may have! Lists were last updated on September 18, 2013. Happy Constitution Day, y'all!
Note: Click on the yellow links in the spoiler box to go to a post with specific lists for commands (Semi-Class, Teleport, etc).
Also Note: Not every VC Command has a place in the specialized lists, just the ones that were most similar or likely to be used the most. FYI. xp

VC Command System:
With the addition of the 1.69 patch to NWN, Aenea has introduced its Variable Chat command system (or VC for short). This is a system that takes note of what is typed into the chat bar in the Talk, Party, Whisper, Shout, or DM channel and runs certain commands or sets certain options for your character.
The following list shows most of the available commands and describes what their functions are. Some commands become available only for certain classes or those with particular items. VC commands are preceded by a two-character prefix (generally two semi-colons ";;") which tells the system that what follows is intended as a VC command. The prefix can be entered as
either ";;" or ";; ". Quotation marks are never used for VC commands.
The VC command system also controls emotes and Out of Character (OOC) talk. Emotes are preceeded by two periods (".."), and OOC talk can be denoted by starting with two forward
slashes ("//"). Emote text will appear in the same indigo color as a character's name in the chat window (no need to surround the text with asterisks to set it apart). OOC talk will include the slashes and appear in light blue-gray to set it apart from in character talk. These are optional, but can be helpful for those that want to keep their OOC & IC talk separate.

-----> Click here to go to the Tradeskill Cooking Text List <-----
Cooking is used when a Player Character (PC) wants to create a more complex food or meal from basic ingredients. Possession of a Portable Kitchen is required. You can use the portable kitchen several times per day, and it remains for 3 minutes. When activated, it conjures up a cookpot over a fire and allows you to enter one of the VC commands found below. If you have all the required ingredients, a d100 (%) skill check is made against a difficulty based on the food being made. If successful, you gain a piece of food. If unsuccessful, nothing happens (but you still lose the ingredients, since they are "used up" when you try to cook). As this skill is used, you may improve in it. On a successful skill use, there is a 10% chance you will gain a 1% improvement. This can build up to a 100% over time.
;;ts cook xxx - after using portable kitchen, use recipes to cook desired food from the list.

-----> Click here to go to the Tradeskill Tailoring Text List <-----
Tailoring gives PCs the ability to create clothing and other items made from cloth and leather.
The process is fairly straightforward:
1. Use a sewing kit to spawn in a "sewing station".
2. Put the required materials into the sewing station's inventory. Stay near it (you must be within 6 meters of the station during the process).
3. Input the correct VC command for the desired tailoring product.
4. Take finished product from the sewing station.
Tool Needed: Sewing Kit
Materials Needed: Varies by desired product
As this skill is used, you may improve in it. On a successful skill use, there is a 10% chance you will gain a +1% improvement. This can build up to a +100% over time.

Bald Head: A new "bald" head model has been created for each race and gender, and it is this head model that is used for aligning the visual effects that are used by this system. Crafting Traps Instruction List as per Ramana Jala, from the How to Craft Traps thread found here:
1. Buy a Trap Materials Crate of the appropriate Type, from Smitty. No other material components are necessary.
2. It comes 'empty', so before you use it you have to buy 'contents' for the Crate with Smitty. The gold you pay becomes this Crate's reservoir of "components" to create its different levels of traps as listed by gold cost in the Crate's description.
3. *Note - It is NOT necessary to be in a Workshop, so just ignore that error message - you do NOT actually need to be in a workshop to make traps.
4. Make sure you have the appropriate skill ranks in Craft Trap to craft the level trap you desire (chart below). Put on all equipment augmenting this, of course. Your Craft Trap Skill plus a d20 Roll must be equal to or higher than the Craft Trap DC. Therefore to guaranteee 100% success 100% of the time, your Craft Trap skill, fully augmented by equipment and buffs, must be at least equal to the DC minus 1 (since 1 is the lowest d20 you can possibly roll). You might get by with a Craft Trap skill less than that, but you're taking a chance of failure, which might lose you some of your gold/"component" reservoir.
5. Type in the command " ;;craft trap x " where x is the word "minor", "average", "strong", "deadly", or "epic". This setting will persist across any different Crates you use, until you change this setting.
6. On the Crate of the Type of Trap you want, right click to activate the radial menu and choose Use. If you rolled the DC, a trap will appear in your inventory.

To craft non-magical items in Aenea, you will need to follow several simple steps:
1. Enter the VC command ;;craft goal x, where "x" is replaced with one of the codes found below.
2. Go to a workshop with a Crafting Anvil.
3. Place required material(s) on the Crafting Anvil and "close" it.
4. After a couple of seconds, "open" the anvil to find your finished product.
For masterwork items, failure to reach the DC will still result in the crafting of a normal item of the same type. For other items, failure results in no crafted item and loss of the raw materials.

Re: Text-file friendly VC Command List(s) ...
Thanks ever so much for this list! I'd been intending to do this myself, especially after having to hunt down commands to help new players, or for myself with those that have either changed or aren't readily findable. I'd actually occasionally despaired over how many vc commands were mysterious or relatively unknown.
Much appreciated, this page will get a link on my desktop next to the original VC command list.

There's some more.
And yeah, food recipes seems outdated. I reported here a while back, probably should've gone to the bug reports now that I think of it.

This is actually something that I have thought about updating, though time has been out of whack recently ... it's on the back burner for now, but remains on the stove.

Ding! Updated! There are still some things to hammer out, and it's possible that the list would be better broken up into several pieces, but for now, here it is!
Also, I don't use many of the commands myself, as i never play a druid, for example ... if y'all come across changes or whatnot, I will gladly change it up for ya!

Re: Text-file friendly VC Command List(s) ...
For the cooking recipes, many of them are listed to require more ingredients than they really require in-game. For example...the pies. They are listed to require 5 types of a berry or fruit, but really only requires 1 X* item in inventory.
*X is an example. Replace it with any berry or fruit.

Crafting Traps Instruction List as per Ramana Jala (from the How to Craft Traps thread found here):
- Spoiler:

2. Go to a workshop with a Crafting Anvil.
3. Place required material(s) on the Crafting Anvil and "close" it.
4. After a couple of seconds, "open" the anvil to find your finished product.

;;ts xxxxxx - tradeskill commands
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Alchemy gives PCs the ability to combine various objects and materials to create semi-magical substances.
The process is fairly straightforward:
1. Go to an alchemy lab and find an alchemist's workbench. Bluebeard has one below his tower.
2. Put the required reagents into the workbench's inventory. Stay near it (you must be within 6 meters of the workbench during the process).
3. Input the correct VC command for the desired alchemical product.
4. Take finished product (or any possible leftover reagents on a failed check) from the workbench.
On a successful check, all the reagent(s) will be used up and the finished item will be in the workbench's inventory.
On a failed check, there's a 67% chance for any one reagent to be lost in the process. For instance, if a product requires Reagent A, Reagent B, and 3 of Reagent C, there's a 67% chance that Reagent A will be lost, a 67% chance that Reagent B will be lost, and a 67% change that one of Reagent C will be lost (leaving 2 of that one left over).
Difficulties are based roughly on the value/use of the finished item...d100 + alchemy skill to try to beat difficulty percentage (just like other tradeskills). Lowest end will be at 10 (for something like a warming gel made from the belly of a fire beetle that provides cold resistance 10 for 1 game hour) to highest end of 100ish (for a few more powerful items like a new weapon enhancing crystal that can add on-hit stun). Gnomes will get a +10 bonus to their checks (the lucky buggers have always been considered better at alchemy).

Cooking is used when a Player Character (PC) wants to create a more complex food or meal from basic ingredients. Possession of a Portable Kitchen is required. You can use the portable kitchen several times per day, and it remains for 3 minutes. When activated, it conjures up a cookpot over a fire and allows you to enter one of the VC commands found below. ;;vfx help - help list for the PC Customizing System
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bald Head: A new "bald" head model has been created for each race and gender, and it is this head model that is used for aligning the visual effects that are used by this system. The visuals will work with other head models, but will usually have issues with alignment or clipping caused by hair. The bald heads use multiple color channels: skin, hair (eyebrow color), and tattoo 1 (eye color).
;;vfx head bald - Changes your current head model to a bald head model specific to your race and
gender (Doesn't work with "large" phenotype)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Facial Features: This category will include features such as eye colors and scars with future expansion:
;;vfx face none - Remove current facial features.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hats: You can have 1 hat, helm, or hood at a time:
;;vfx hat wicker - For those wanting a "Ignore me, I'm just a peasant. Please don't kill me, Aurora." appearance.
;;vfx hat tiger - Want to impress that special half-orc or barbarian? This might help.
;;vfx hat grey wolf - Nothing says shaman like a dead wolf's head sitting on top of yours.
;;vfx hat white wolf - Nothing says winter shaman like a dead white wolf's head sitting on top of yours.
;;vfx hat black wolf - Nothing says evil shaman like a dead black wolf's head sitting on top of yours.
;;vfx hat cavalier aqua - Just what every dashing hero (or heroine) needs! (see below for feathers to go with this)

Voice Full Text List:
- Spoiler:
;;tool voice x - change your voice set, replace x with the ID number of a (website reference) valid voice set for your character.
Valid Voice Sets for PCs:
You can use the VC command ;;tool voice x to change your character's voice/sound set while in-game. Just replace the "x" with the ID of the desired voice set. This function uses Letoscript and will boot your character after a few seconds so that changes can be made to your character's file. Voice set lists are separated by gender. A few voice sets have additional criteria. Entering an invalid voice set ID number in the VC command will result in no changes being made.
Voice sets denoted by an asterisk (*) are normally PC voices, others are usually used by NPCs (and may not have sounds for all emotes/actions).

Re: Text-file friendly VC Command List(s) ...
I know there are some commands missing (one I can think of is the skullface mask) (Ha! Gotcha!), so I will add to the lists as I find additional commands, or remember to fix the entries.
As far as the tradeskill cooking recipe issue, I believe that the change has been reflected in the list posted on the Aenea website, so all should be well.
I will also be adding the new tradeskills and other commands when they become available (and when I have time)!

Re: Text-file friendly VC Command List(s) ...
The info for Crafting Traps that you've given under "Crafting Full Text List" is outdated and no longer applicable.
The Anvil is not used any more for Crafting Traps, instead the Trap Materials Crates are used. Therefore, I'd suggest that you delete all the traps from that crafting list there.
The current procedure for Crafting Traps is here.
I don't know too much about how other Crafting procedures have changed, but it would be a good idea to reference the latest forum info, as the IG instructions haven't been updated in a long while.
Thanks for collating all these command lists, Eric!

Thanks for the info, Ramana! As it turns out, I don't use many of these commands myself (crafting traps, for example), so I thank you for pointing that out. I will update the crafting traps info as soon as possible! (Ha! Gotcha!)

Re: Text-file friendly VC Command List(s) ...
Angel of Death and DPLincoln, I checked the recipes presented here - they only list 1 berry requirement for pies. I pulled the majority of this info from the aenea website here, so it seems to be up to date ... Let me know if it is otherwise!

Re: Text-file friendly VC Command List(s) ...
Would be awesome if the original post in the thread could be updated with an index of links to the later posts containing different lists...

i tried to add them all directly after the op, but the forum said "no, your post is too long." and i don't know how to move posts within a thread ...

Re: Text-file friendly VC Command List(s) ...
No need to move any posts, just use the link button to create links in the first post that point to the posts with the lists in them.
The title of each post you made is a hyperlink itself.... so you can right-click the title of a post and copy the link location, then paste it into the top post with the link button to make a link in the top post that points to the lower post with the list. The link button also allows you to set a text name for that link to help describe it.

Re: Text-file friendly VC Command List(s) ...
May get ambitious, and add a full link list of the specialized lists after or before the main body of the list ... but that's madness for another day, methinks!

Nice work, sir.
A suggestion for you:
It might be even better to have the links to specific lists near the very top of the original post, outside of the spoiler tags. Like a table of contents, so folks can easily jump from the top post to the specific list they want to see, without scrolling through the big full list. Whatcha think?

Are you thinking "instead of" or "in addition to"? I'm swinging towards "in addition to", myself ... hmm, time to find the old notepad!

Re: Text-file friendly VC Command List(s) ...
In addition to would be best, I think. Going back and removing the links from the spoiler tag list would be silly and extra work for absolutely no benefit.

Re: Text-file friendly VC Command List(s) ...
So much work and effort ...
I thought I'd just drop in and say a big thankyou to eric for organising this list for everyone to use. Having all the commands on a sheet of paper really helps out those of us that still play in full view mode and have issue's with alt+tab'ing back and forth....
These lists are awesome !
Oh! Did I say thankyou yet ? I'll say thankyou one time I think so that the message gets across 100%'edly... Thankyou.

Yeah, you can print 'em out, of course, or as I do, you can add the relevant lists to your third journal page - y'know, the one that allows you to add your own notes! For me, it saves the paper and it allows me to have customized lists for each PC ...

Re: Text-file friendly VC Command List(s) ...
Updated to add the Magic Missile Lists ... but it wouldn't fully fit in the OP
I will likely edit teh OP to trim down some space, especially where the list items are concerned - list of herbs, voice sets, etc ...
