Could this spell get an AoE VFX? The VFX on targets within the AoE rocks, but it's hard to tell where the boundaries are (and it's not practical to keep spamming the targetting aid tool in the middle of combat when trying to lay down nice fields of death torture and pain).

I'm thinking the read cloud vfx like from cloudkill would work best for the theme of the spell.

And, if the bug with this spell (as noted in the bug forums) can't be fixed... perhaps it could do more magical damage per round

Or perhaps it can do a double save... a save for the cha/wis drain, and if that's failed, a second save for death. If the save vs the cha/wis drain is made, no save vs death will be needed.
