Not Used: Shield Using goodness

Since Purple Dragon Knights aren't used on Aenea (and even in default bioware games, they're kinda pants)... Why not cannibalize a few of their abilities for other classes?

Specifically I was thinking of something for the fighter types. There's one ability, Heroic Shield, that grants an ally +4 dodge AC for a round. I think this would be a nice perk for fighters. A couple of fighters standing in front of an archer or mage guarding their buddy with their shields, allowing the archer or mage to fire off whatever they need to.... Teamwork's fun!

Purple Dragon Knight? They're in Aenea, their description has just been changed a little to reflect the non-FR world.

Food for thought though... melee types could use some additions to the bag o' tricks... and especially if they are teamwork focused.

That's likely because it has ridiculous requirements to remember for pittance of benefit.. or to put it another way.. I don't think I've EVER seen a PDK in Aenea in nearly 3yrs of playing here .... !!!

Maybe it should be renamed to Knight class.... or something in-game like the Azure Order Soldier class.. and it comes free with scaling Azure Order Armours and Weapons (Or maybe just those awesome "blue crosshair" shields, with awesome properties!)....

Compared to "other" options the PDK is just kinda.. well... poo ...

We already do... indirectly. After several hours of playing Arcane and Druidic casters, my new battlecry for Clan McJagger may be, "Dispel this!" *warhammer to face*

(and yes, indeed there ARE PDKs in Aenea... at least 1 that I know of )

Got to love thread necromancy sometimes... and how one small sentence can stick in the mind and create something awesome... here I bolded that sentence and I believe it has been used indirectly... for this !!!
