I don't think new PCs are currently being given a Jump Tool at creation, and I think this would be an excellent thing, so folks are aware of that option of getting around. Those that don't/won't/can't use it can sacrifice it, but others may opt to keep it, and having it from the get go makes it more likely the player will notice it in their own inventory, rather than maybe seeing, but more likely missing it in smitty's shop.

Also a single gem pouch would be nice.

.... If we're thinking of adding/updating the starting widgets.. the one that I'd like to see added would be the battlefield journal... then from the very start new players will start to rack up what they have killed in the book...

Hells, yeah, RustyDios, especially considering that taking a trip to the merchant right now can mean death for PCs (my 2nd level demonspawn beauty was destroyed by a green wyrmling) ...

Adding jump tool and a gem pouch to the list when new characters enter Aenea. Removing regular potions of cure light wounds and pushing number of Asis ones up to 10 to start off.

Not adding the journal to the list, as it's really optional. I'll be fixing the encounters in the market for the next module update.
