Dec. 8, 2011: Astral Conjunction Update

In a couple of days, I'm going to be putting a revamped Astral Conjunction into the live module. The new version will be getting more...Astral Plane-y.

Yup, new area appearance (new tileset) that makes it look like PCs are walking on jnothing at all (not even any sounds of stepping on stone or anything).

Players will need the updated hak I just uploaded to the Vault and WorldGate.

I just uploaded the new files via WorldGate, and then logged in after the reset. I got a Player Reward (yippee!), but now I'm stuck in the Reward area. Relogged and still there. Ran around a bit in all directions, but can't see any exit-- it's all blue, red, and green starry space. Guess I'll have to wait until the next reset to play, and hope there's an exit from the regular Astral Conjuction area then.

Edit: Decided to reboot my computer and try logging in one more time. Was still all space and no indications, but after running around a bit more, finally the signs and exit appeared. *whew*

Sorry. Looks like I forgot to change waypoint tags in the revamped area. Going into the toolset now.

Note to other builders: evidently when you are jumped to a waypoint with a specific tag, it may not be the closest one, but in another area...

Pushing this back a couple of days. Family needed more attention the last day or so, so I didn't have any toolset time until just a few minutes ago (and the new Astral Conjunction areas still need some touch-ups).

Was wondering about this ... been logging on over the past few days, looking for a change ... now we know!

It really puts a mood on my little planar traveler's day, like waking up from a dream.

And also seems appropriate for the backstory of many other characters in how they got planar-transited to Aenea.
