expertise, monks, leveling speed

greetings,
i'm toying w/a couple of character concepts and had a few questions re- How It's Done Here.

1- some servers disable expertise while a spellcaster casts spells, some leave it enabled [the default]. how is that played here?

2- is monk speed cumulative w/additional speed from a subrace, like the winged elf?

3- what was the final verdict re- spell resistance brought up in this thread? does it stack, or doesn't it?

4- one of these character concepts has an ungodly xp penalty [45%...]. while i'm definitely no power-leveler, i do still enjoy seeing my character advance every now and again. how fast is leveling here? if it's as slow as on some of the copap worlds, this character concept won't work!

1 - Uncertain; my Wizards have Imp Expertise for melee magic, and I recommend both Feats even if they do not work with spellcasting.

2 - Yes; believe that is so based on observation.

3 - Again I am uncertain; plan on not stacking and gaining the higher value with either Race or Monk.

4 - Leveling has not been a problem for me once I reach 12th. But all my Monks were retired as I am simply much better with other classes.

yeah, they're pretty much staple for me, too. but much less useful if the server has the switch set to turn off expertise during spellcasting. there's an easy way to tell, tho ; just quickslot expertise, go into expertise mode, and cast a spell. if the module switch is on, the mode indicator on the quickslot will stop glowing once you start casting the spell. does it do that on aenea?
